Government Degree College Longtharai Valley was established on June 15, 2012. GDC Longtharai Valley was built under the Higher Education Department of Government of Tripura. The college is recognised by UGC with 2(f) & 12(b) under the UGC act of 1956. 

GDC Longtharai Valley is accredited with Grade B by NAAC. The college is affiliated with Tripura University, Suryamaninagar. GDC Longtharai Valley offers BA and BA Honours courses to the undergraduate students. The courses are offered on the basis of candidates’ Higher Secondary education results.
