GEC Banka: Admission 2026, Cutoff, Courses, Fees, Placements, Ranking

Government Engineering College, Banka, or GEC Banka, was established in 2018 at Banka, Bihar, and is one of the upcoming institutions. This affiliated college, approved by AICTE, imparts various engineering programmes to aspiring technologists. Situated in the beautiful village of Lakrikola, GEC Banka assures the most congenial ambiance for learning and growth. Having an student enrolment of 763 and a faculty strength of 22, the vision of the college is to impart quality education in varied disciplines of engineering.

Many facilities are available within the institution to enhance the student experience. Separate hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls to make the stay of out-station students comfortable. There is a well-built library serving as a knowledge hub and modern laboratories to meet practical learning needs. The college also works on connectivity, hence Wi-Fi all across the campus, which enables access to online resources. Government Engineering College Banka provides sports facilities and a gymnasium, hence promoting overall development. Currently, GEC Banka offers five full-time B.Tech programmes of four years duration each. These include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering. The approved total intake in all courses will be 270 seats where, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering will have an intake of 60 each, and Computer Science Engineering will be admitted with an intake of 30. The programmes are so structured as to have a strong base that will enable the students in the streams to turn out into successful careers in the ever-changing world of technology.

GEC Banka offers admission on the basis of merit by following a uniform admission procedure. Candidates desiring to take admission have to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, conducted by NTA. Then, the candidate needs to attend Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling for admission into the programme of their choice for B.Tech.
