Government First Grade College, Kolar (hereafter referred to as GFGC Kolar) was established in 1948. Situated at Kolar in Karnataka, this college is a co-educational college situated in a 5.75 acre land. Due to the affiliation of GFGC Kolar, the NAAC accreditation which the college has received is a manifestation of the college’s effort in providing quality education. These include 17 courses in 7 degree programmes, to a total enrolment size of 1,688 students. The faculty members are 33 dedicated teacher educators ensuring that college provides proper atmosphere for learning.

Government First Grade College has a library,which is a highly relevant source of knowledge and comprises more than 60 thousand books that represent scientific, art, literary, business, and management literature. It supplies books, reference materials, dictionaries, encyclopedias, yearbooks, textbooks and all other materials that may be needed in the completion of academic tasks.
