This college is one of the best government college in karnataka and situated at Kundapura Taluk, Udupi District, Shankaranarayana. This affiliated college was set up in 1991 and it means that it has been in the business of molding young generation for more than 30 years. GFGC Shankaranarayana is a vast campus spread over 15 acres and offers the almost all stream undergraduate as well as postgraduate degrees. The college offered a total enrolment of 697 students in addition to a committed team of faculty of 13 staff members. The university has remained committed to quality education and has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) that is, shows the university’s accountability to the quality standard.

GFGC Shankaranarayana is proud to present the following facilities and amenities as additional features to delivery of instruction and student learning. The college has an efficient computer room that has 36 computers to support the needs of the students with necessary IT tools. Sports complex that includes on campus fitness club for the Physical training enthusiastic and several sports facilities for any athletic interest. It has a college library that acts as its knowledge centre and provides other necessary learning resources for the students. Canteen facility is used by both the staff and students to rest and chortle and get snacks and other refreshments in between time. There are also provision made for the parking of bicycles and two wheel which will afford the users easy ride to their respective destinations. Also, to enhance the relationship between students, the college supports an active alumni association which acts as umbrella to the former and current students.

The programme of academics provided in the GFGC Shankaranarayana is vast and provides a complete range of courses for the students with different preferences and future occupations. It has a total of 5 courses in 4 programmes thus making all of them full time programmes. Such programmes cover three years of under graduate courses like B.Com, BBA, BA (History, Economics and Political Science), History, Economics and Optional Kannada. Still, for the more extended learning the college also provides a two-year Master of Commerce programme.
