Government Gramya Bharati College, Hardibazar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a general library, a library for ST/SC category students, and all P.G. Departments have Departmental Libraries with adequate books. There is an advisory committee to look after the proceedings of the library. This committee has regular meetings to discuss issues of purchase, development, and improvement of the general library. Students are provided with the facilities of INFLIBNET and reprography. The total area of the library is 372.0 Sq. Mtrs. The library has a seating capacity of 60-70 students with separate reading rooms for staff and students The library is open to all from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM on working days, before examinations, and during vacations. The library has a reprography room, a separate library for students of the SC/ST category, and separate reading rooms for staff and students with internet access. The library invites a list of books required from all the departments and accordingly through quotations purchase of books is carried out as per government norms. The library is situated on the ground floor with a ramp for easy access for physically disabled students. Convenient and comfortable seating arrangements are provided for the special students with physical assistance if/when required. Visually impaired students are permitted to have a reader.

The college organizes various sports tournaments such as cricket, tennis, kho-kho, athletics, etc. at the district and other levels. Aspiring students are provided free coaching camps and the annual sports day is a celebration of the talents of the students in various events. The students and winners who represent the college/university are also felicitated during the annual function.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
