Government Medical College situated at Dindigul was set up in 2021 and thus is a young medical college of Tamil Nadu state. This co-educational institution is an affiliated college which is situated at 1, Nallampatti Road, Adiyanoothu Village, Dindigul and is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college presently has a single undergraduate programme – the MBBS – for which it has been approved to admit 150 students. As an institute run by the government, its primary role is to ensure that it produces competent and quality health professionals able to address the health needs of the region.
