Government Medical College, Kottayam was established in 1962. The college is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Earlier, it was affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. The college provides courses at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.
