For undergraduate admissions, students with valid NEET scores are considered. The NEET examination is conducted generally once a year and scores are valid for that particular academic year. MBBS Admission eligibility criteria include having passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects. For admission into graduate courses, the candidate must have completed MBBS from any recognised institution. Apart from MBBS which is the flagship course, the Government Medical College Nalgonda also offers MD and MS specialisations for students. The admission procedures for these courses is explained below:
The college has 150 seats for the MBBS course. The selection for the MBBS course is made on the basis of NEET examination rank of candidates and counselling process thereafter. The total duration of the course is 5.5 years including one year of compulsory rotatory internship.
Several MD programmes are offered by Government Medical College, Nalgonda with varying admission capacities.
In these MD programmes, admission is based on NEET PG scores followed by counselling processes. The MD programmes usually span for three years.
In addition, three seats are allocated for the MS Anatomy programme. Graduates from this programme are also selected according to NEET PG scores and counselling.
