Government Mukut Dhar Pandey College, Katghora, is a reputed co-educational institution situated in Korba district, Chhattisgarh. The college boasts a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various fields. The admission procedure at Government Mukut Dhar Pandey College strives to be simple and convenient to ensure maximum accessibility to all eligible candidates. Admission for the next academic year usually starts in the months of August and September. While merit-based admission is primarily governed by the marks and/or percentage secured by students in their qualifying examination, it very clearly stresses the choice of the deserving candidates for higher studies in the said institution.
An eligible candidate for undergraduate courses includes students who have completed their 10+2 level from a recognized board. Available undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Arts (BA), a biological sciences group consisting of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Biology, an associate in mathematics group (Bachelor of Science B.Sc Mathematics), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). Admission to the postgraduate programs follows the same merit-based principle. The postgraduate programs offered by the College include several MA programs namely MA in Sociology, MA in History, MA in Hindi and MA in Political Science, besides M.Com and M.Sc. in Chemistry and Zoology. Some of the aforementioned postgraduate courses are run on a self-supporting basis and in such a case the admission procedure and the fee structure may differ from those of the general course.
Admission Process
Government Mukut Dhar Pandey College, Katghora, has an easy admission process and generally involves the following:

2. Application Form: Candidates may obtain application forms from the college office or download them from the website.
3. Form Filling: Forms must be filled correctly and completely mentioning all personal and academic details.

Admission Process Degree wise
BA: The BA admission process maintains an intake of 240 seats. Admission to this college is based on a merit list prepared in regard to marks obtained in 10+2 or its equivalent qualifying examinations. This is a program covering a general study composed of subjects in the arts.
B.Sc Biology Group: There are 160 seats in this program. Candidates must apply if they have completed 10+. Selection is based upon merit in the qualifying examination.
B.Com: 120 seats are available for the Bachelor of Commerce program. Those students who studied Commerce or related subjects in 10+2 would be given preferential treatment but the admission finally is on merit.
B.Sc Mathematics Group: With 60 seats available, this program would be best suited for applicants with a thorough knowledge of Mathematics. Admission is on the basis of examination marks obtained with emphasis on Mathematics marks.
MA Programmes: Sociology, History, Hindi, and Political Science are the subjects for which the college offers MA degrees. Each of them offers 30-40 seats. Selection is made according to merit and on the basis of graduation marks.
M.Com: 40 seats available for this self-financed program. Those candidates with the B.Com. degree are qualified for merit-based admission in this self-financed program.
M.Sc Programs: The college offers M.Sc. courses in Chemistry and Zoology, with 20 seats each. The admission to these programs is self-financed and is based on the merit of the B.Sc. degree.
