Government Pandit Shyam Shankar Mishra College, Deobhog Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a collection of about 7000 textbooks and books. All students are provided 03 textbooks at a time for a period of 15 days. The rules and timetable for obtaining books from the library are displayed on the information board of the library.  

In this college, facilities for outdoor games like volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton and cricket are available. In indoor games, facilities for chess and carrom are available. Students interested in sports can avail the benefits of sports facilities by contacting the sports department after getting admission.
In the annual sports competitions - 200 meters, 500 meters, marathon races, shot put, discus throw, high jump, long jump, volleyball, cricket, etc. are organized. The best players are provided facilities to participate in university, district,t and state-level competitions.

Govt. Pt. Shyam Shankar Mishra College Deobhog is located in the Deobhog tehsil of Gariyaband district of Chhattisgarh state. It is the only institute in the rural and tribal area of Deobhog tehsil. Our college is a co-education college. college affiliated to pt. Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur(C.G.).it is the only college in this area with 8.57-acre students including around 350 girls. Deobhog is famous for his diamond mine. Deobhog is the remotest area of Chhattisgarh.

This cell has been formed with the help of experienced professors under the patronage of the Principal of the college. Special programs of counseling/guidance are organized from time to time by this cell. Information about all the activities of this cell is made available to the students through the notice board. All the admitted students are expected to take advantage of such guidance and move ahead on the path of progress.

 The National Service Scheme unit is also available in the college. This unit is affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. Social service works are done under it. NSS camp is also organized in the month of December. Under NSS "B" certificate examination is organized in the college. Interested students can join this scheme by filling out the prescribed application form. Admission information is issued by the Professor-in-Charge, NSS.
