Government Physiotherapy College Raipur was established in 2002, the institution is one of the premier colleges specialising in physiotherapy in Chhattisgarh. With the affiliation, it has been providing quality education for more than twenty years in jail road near Marhi Mata Mandir. Earlier this college took an average of 225 students in a session and it has 4 faculty members so it provides a good ambience for the physiotherapy students. 

Government Physiotherapy College has a lot of facilities. This wide compilation is helpful both for students and teachers who might find the material helpful for their studies. The college has functional demonstration and training exercise and electrotherapy equipment in each of the college’s laboratories. This college provides only single course named Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). Though the sanctioned intake is 50 students the institute follows the policy of maintaining optimum student-staff ratio and thus offers this four-year full-time course. The development and intent of the BPT programme is to ensure that the students on completion of the course have adequate knowledge and skills in physiotherapy to enable them have a well established careers in the health sector. The college is affiliated to Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh, Raipur.

The admission at Government Physiotherapy College, Raipur is based on NEET-UG score only. This admission test is used to guarantee that the college enrols learners who have a solid background in the sciences and the competence required for a demanding health care profession.
