Government Polytechnic Gulzarbagh is one of the oldest government polytechnic colleges established by the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science and Technology. Government Polytechnic Gulzarbagh commenced its first academic session in 1954. Government Polytechnic Gulzarbagh is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Government Polytechnic Gulzarbagh is affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education Patna.
Government Polytechnic Gulzarbagh diploma programmes in the engineering and architecture streams. Admission to Government Polytechnic Gulzarbagh is based on students' performance in the DCECE exam, conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). Admission to lateral entry is through the DCECE (LE).
