Government Polytechnic Kharsawan is one of the top polytechnic colleges in the state of Jharkhand. GP Kharsawan was established in 2006. Government Polytechnic Kharsawan is an affiliated college of the State Board of Technical Education, Ranchi.

This college offers diploma programmes in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Currently, the college is located on 5 acres of land, and as per the official college website, there are plans to develop more buildings on an additional 5 acres of land.
