The Vidya Vikas Mandal’s Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, Goa was established in the year 1979 and is a private college. Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law in its quest for excellence in the field of legal education is taking giant strides towards the goal. Govind Ramnath Kare College offers programmes at UG, PG and at doctoral levels.
Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law offers a 5-year integrated BA LLB programme, a 3-year LLB degree programme, a 2-year LLM degree programme with various specialisations, and a Ph.D programme through its Research Center. Admission to Kare College is merit-based for BA LLB programmes. G-CLAT scores are considered for admission to the BA LLB course. Students with SET/SLET/GATE UGC NET JRF/CSIR UGC NET are eligible for PhD admissions, students without any scores, must appear for the entrance exam conducted by the college. GR Kare College of Law also facilitates a library, auditorium, gym, moot court, cafeteria, sports, smart classrooms, and many other facilities. The Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law offers scholarships to deserving students based on category, income and merit.
Placement facilities in the form of guidance and counselling are available at the Kare College of Law campus. The GR Kare College of Law is affiliated with Goa University, Taleigao Plateau, Goa. The Kare Law College has a CGPA of 2.78 on a 4.0-point scale, making it the only law college in the state to offer legal education with a CGPA above 2.75.
