During the first 3 years of their research leading to a Ph.D degree, all candidates must reside within the territorial jurisdiction of Goa University.

The Goa Common Law Admission Test or G-CLAT is an offline/online examination consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The questions will cover general English, general knowledge, current affairs, logical reasoning, legal aptitude, elementary computer knowledge, and basic mathematical ability.
