Hi-Tech College of Pharmacy situated at Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India and was set up in the year 2009 to offer pharma education at a higher level. Situated at Pandara, Rasulgarh, this affiliated college functions under the PCI approved competency. The college is located at a central place and is spread over just 1.26 acres of land where the college is able to provide a congregate learning environment to the 250 students who are admitted to the college. Hi-tech college of pharmacy has a team of 15 Faculties to cater a large number of students the proportion is student friendly more of teachers and less of students that makes student and teacher or faculty ratio advantageous to undergo the college. Three niche programmes in the institute are nuances to pharmacy education that addresses the dynamics of pharmaceutical sciences and attends to the different career expectations within the discipline.
Hi-Tech College of Pharmacy has a perfect package of facilities that assist the college students to increase their achievement and development. The well equipped library which acts as a knowledge centre is a storehouse is a wealth of books, journals, electronic documents and other pharmaceutical sciences literature. Molecular recognition includes Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmacokinetics laboratories where students get practical experiences. The college also pays emphasises on student comfort by providing different hostel for male and female students with up to date facilities. A capacity of 200 students to the fully furnished auditorium used in different academic activities as well as cultural performances. Regarding physical health, the campus offers both a gym and sports facilities on the premise. Other are the cafeteria, medical services, computerization and transport facilities to give the students a one-stop institution to enable them succeed in their education.
Hi-Tech College of Pharmacy currently provides students with a total of three full time courses in the area of pharamcy. They are four types of programmes including two degree programmes and one diploma programme that addresses various levels of pharmaceutical education. The total intake of the college is 250 and offers course intake of every branch which many opportunities for the students aspiring to become a pharmacist. Unfortunately, graduation data will only be available after this year, however, to address the needs of the pharmaceutical industry the college prepares students for successful employment in the sphere.
Admission to Hi-Tech College of Pharmacy is more or less merit based and has a proper pattern in the admission section. The OJEE is used for admission into the B.Pharma programme and the students are admitted based on counselling sessions. This makes it possible for hardworking and qualified candidates to be rewarded an opportunity to study their pharmacy at the institute. D.Pharma Admission process done through counselling conducted by the government, & remaining vacancies are filled by the college. For B.Pharma Lateral Entry, though the information on admission procedure is missing, through it diploma holders get direct admission to the second year of B.Pharma course. It also has Management and NRI quota seats which is done as per the notification of the Government of Odisha from time to time.
