HMFA Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology, Allahabad was established in the year 2008 as an affiliated College in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is approved by AICTE and offers various programs in the fields of Engineering and Management. In addition, this has a faculty strength of 73 members and provides quality education in the different technical fields. The campus is situated 40 km away from Prayagraj, with a quiet atmosphere, most conducive for pursuing one's studies. The institute does cater to both boys and girls at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

HMFA Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology has many facilities that facilitate students in their academic and personal growth. The campus has separate boys' and girls' hostels that provide hygienic food and surroundings at very reasonable rates. It has a strong academic resource centre—the library—which measures 607 square meters in area with 3,500 titles comprising 20,000 volumes. The reading room can accommodate sixteen students comfortably. To take care of the physical well-being, sports facilities are open to all. Excellent IT infrastructure is also maintained by the college to support modern learning needs. The seminar hall can accommodate over 250 participants and is fully air-conditioned. A large number of academic and cultural programs have been organised here in the institute. For convenient commutation, the institute runs 20 buses covering all parts of the city, serving around 1,500 students and 150 staff members.

HMFA Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology offers 8 courses in total: 5 B.Tech programs, 1 MBA program, and 2 Diploma courses. The B.Tech programs include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. All the B.Tech programs have an intake of 45 seats. For the MBA program, there will be an intake of 45 seats. Diploma courses are offered in both Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, once again with 45 seats each.

Admission to HMFA Memorial Institute of Engineering and Technology is mainly done through entrance exams. For the B.Tech courses, the eligibility conditions are that a candidate needs to qualify in the JEE Main conducted by the Government of India, or in the entrance examination UPSEE conducted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The admissions are based on the counselling conducted by UPSEE, which goes by the rank of the entrance examination and the performance in the Intermediate examination. Admission to the course for an MBA, candidates are admitted based on rank in AKTU, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, entrance examination.
