Indira Institute of Engineering and Technology Thiruvallur is a leading engineering college situated in the state of Tamil Nadu. IIET Thiruvallur was set up by Indira Educational and Charitable Trust. The college was set up as a non-profit organization. The college is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The campus of IIET Thiruvallur is spread over an area of 10.5 acres. IIET Thiruvallur is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The institute offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering and management.

Talking about the infrastructure of the institute, the college has several computer centres equipped with with latest softwares like Visual Studio, SQL Server, Oracle, Rational Rose Suite etc. IIET Thiruvallur also has laboratories and workshops for imparting practical knowledge to students. Furthermore, the college has well furnished hostels for both boys and girls.
