BE Mechanical Engineering at Indira Institute of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvallur Offline Course

The candidates with BE/Btech are selected based on marks scored in HSC (Academic/Vocational) as per the norms indicated below, category-wise.

• OC - Minimum 45% marks in chem/physics/maths taken together with minimum 40% marks in individual subjects.
• BC & BCM - Minimum 40% in chem/physics/Maths.
• MBC & DNC - Minimum 40% marks in chem./physics/maths.
• SC/SCA/ST  - Minimum 40% marks in chem./physics/maths.

LATERAL ENTRY CANDIDATES

Diploma holders in relevant branch or B.Sc graduates with Maths as one of the major subjects are eligible for direct entry to the 2nd year BE/B.Tech courses as per norms indicated below 

• OC - Minimum 45% marks in diploma or B.Sc.
• BC - Minimum 40% marks in diploma or B.Sc.
• MBC & DNC - Minimum 40% marks in diploma or B.Sc.
• SC/SCA/ST - Just pass in diploma or B.Sc exam.
