Jagannath Jain College, also known as JJC, began the businesness of imparting education in the year 1960, and is a well known educational college, situated in the town of Jhumri Telaiya, of Koderma district in Jharkhand. This co-educational, constituent college comprises an 18-acre land where a wide array of academic programmes are being provided. Affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) the JJC is also approved from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) thus making each of its disciplines responsible for providing quality education. This college lists the total student population at 6366 and a faculty of 13 members of staff, the college offers 14 courses under 9 degree programmes including Arts, Science Commerce and Education.

Jagannath Jain College boasts a system of various versatile facilities organised in a way to enrich the student life. This has standard academic facilities as well as; separate hostels for boys and girls to accommodate students who live outside this campus. An elaborated library has also been established which contains 38,445 textbooks, 587 remedial books, 414 journals, 150 reference books & 50 encyclopedias and student/ faculty reading rooms. .however, for those who have interest in perculiar exercise activities, JJC provides a gymnasium and many other sports equipment. Regarding the three elements, it is worth noting that the college has excellent IT facilities thus proving its allegiance to the modern education systems in the country, the Student’s nourishing point or else the cafeteria is splendidly built to ensure compulsory interaction among the new generation students of the college. Also, JJC has the transportation facilities, our college buses are always provided for the staff and for the female students only.

Jagannath Jain College has numerous courses it has put in place to meet the needs, goals, and ambitions of its students. The institution offers 14 full scattering courses imparting education in Arts Engineering, Sciences, Computers Commerce through full time B.A, B.Sc B.Com., BCA, B.ED., post Graduate courses M.Com., Afternoon Hostel MA (History). Especially interesting is the B.Ed Self Finance course offered with a total of 100 intake capacity. The college also has a degree programme mode of specialisation in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geography, and Psychology at the undergraduate level to enable students explore their areas of interest in detail.

In the admission procedure it has been said that, “Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other process as per policy of the state government/U.T Administration and University selection for the session.
