Jagriti Teachers Training College, Deodhar, was established in 2004 and is an affiliated college situated in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. This teacher training institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and provides postgraduate education programmes. The college is located on a cramped one acre and twenty-four hundred square feet of land and has a total of two hundred and ninety-eight students and comprises eighteen teaching staff.

Jagriti Teachers Training College provides many amenities for the students in order to improve their study process in classes. The girls hostel is well endowed to accommodate 20 students’ Their facilities are well equipped with modern facilities. The library is fitted with books and national and international journals that contribute to teaching and learning activities. Facilities include networked classes, computerised laboratories and a campus wired with internet and other communications technology. Jagriti Teachers Training College offers two full-time courses. Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education both. The programme has its approval for an intake capacity of 100 in the B.Ed and 50 in the D.El.Ed. Each of them takes two years to complete.

The admission procedure at Jagriti Teachers Training College differs from one course to another course offered. Admission to the B.Ed course is given purely on merit as obtained from the entrance examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University only. The minimum pass percentage is 35% for general candidates of the entrance test, though SC/ST candidates need only 30% marks. The D.El.Ed programme admits students based on merit, according to the mark scored in the qualifying exam and/or entrance exam, or any other way as per the state government/UT administration rule.
