Jaiprakash Mahavidyalaya is recognised as an affiliated college and is situated at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.h It has been built to provide the young generation with education since 2004. Located at about 10 km distance from Varanasi Cantt on Varanasi-Ghazipur National Highway (NH 29), this institution has an area of 3 acres of land. Demonstrating instructional capabilities, the college delivers ten course types across five degrees for 715 total students. Jaiprakash Mahavidyalaya boasts of 17 highly committed faculty members who teach all courses, thus affording students maximum contact time and attention. The college has the affiliation of the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), which shows the college has a concern for the quality of education, especially the programmes which train teachers.

The institution offers 10 courses that are ten resident academic programmes to cater for the under- and postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, the programmes that can be offered are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Master's degree programmes have an equal variety, for instance, Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi, Home Science, Political Science, Sociology, Ancient History, and Geography. To cater for those wishing to teach in primary schools, the college offers the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme. The D.El.The Ed programme on its own has an approved admission capacity of a hundred students, reflecting the role of the EGE in producing teachers for the region.
