Jamini Roy College, Bankura, was established in the year 1986. It is among the very few pioneer institutes of learning in Beliatore, West Bengal. This affiliated college is NAAC-accredited and imparts various undergraduate courses in the stream of arts. On a campus spread over 7.6 acres, it has an enrolment of 1,845 students studying in this college.

Among the facilities offered, the institution provides many amenities for the academic and personal development of its students. At the center lies the college library with a collection of 15,000 books. This becomes an open access facility, with a seating capacity of 20 students and 10 teachers.
