Jawahar Engineering College abbreviated as JEC is an Engineering College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu State, which started its first class in the year 2010. Established in the lively area of Saligramam, this affiliated college has been committed for the young generation for over a decade. The campus is rather small as it occupies only 2.71 acres; however, this allows JEC to provide its students with highly specialized educational process. The college currently has 70 learners with adequate qualified faculty of 45 members making it easier to maintain student teacher ratio. 

The college has provided a number of facilities that increase overall learning capacity in the college setting. The fundamental resources on which JEC stands is a fully stocked library that contains more than fifteen thousand books, aimed mainly at textbooks and references. A total of five full- time University level first-degree engineering courses of four years are available at the Jawahar Engineering College. Such programmes are BE in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and B.Tech Information Technology.
