Jawahar Engineering College, Chennai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Medical center at Jawahar Engineering College dedicated to the students and staff of JEC and other allied institutions. Apart from this, the medical center is also open to the general public. Two full-time doctors take care of the facility. The medical center was upgraded and re-inaugurated on 9th February 2017.

The college has provided Gym activities. Having this Motto “STRONG HEART, STRONG MIND”, we shrine by providing facilities such as Gym activities.

The college has a Library that is centrally situated which enables an easy approach to staff and students. It is very spacious and retains a calm and quiet atmosphere. It started functioning and has a collection of 15000 volumes of textbooks and reference books. Books are classified with the DDC Scheme of classification. The library is fully automated with In-house software prepared and developed by the staff of information technology. It has Institutional Membership with Delnet (National) and Malignant. (Regional).

The college has Physical Education is an art to train an individual for physical endurance and mental, moral responsibilities. This in turn not only lifts in but also people around the line and by and large society is beneficial. Having this Motto “STRONG HEART, STRONG MIND”, we shrine by providing facilities such as Gym activities, Aerobics, Yoga for all students and staff. Special Coaching classes are provided in addition to normal practices for cricket, Basket Ball, Kabaddi, Athletics. The college students are participating in various tournaments conducted by engineering colleges. Especially, Anna University Zonal level Tournaments and games every year. Our canteens are known for their nutritious and tasty food. A wide variety of lunch, breakfast eateries with snacks are available in the college in a hygienic environment. Adequate measures have been taken keeping student's health in mind providing safe drinking water in the college canteen. The college canteen provides delicious and hygienic food items at a reasonable price.

The college has Auditorium is the venue for hosting conferences, seminars, and cultural activities. It is provided with all the essential amenities. Professionally deployed acoustic system and a seating capacity have a very powerful LCD projector with a Personal ComputerIt can accommodate 250 persons.
