Jharkhand Vidhi Mahavidyalaya Koderma was established in 2003 at the district headquarters of Koderma for imparting a high standard of legal education to fulfill the desire of people of the entire North Chotanagpur division, Hazaribag. This is well Vinoba Bhave University Hazaribag, and this mahavidyalaya is approved by the Govt. of Jharkhand (HRD) Ranchi. 

Jharkhand Vidhi Mahavidyalaya Koderma, is an affiliated college of Vinoba Bhave University Hazaribagh. The Bar Council of India, New Delhi, has given recognition to this college since the academic year 2005-06. Jharkhand Vidhi Mahavidyalaya Koderma, offers admissions at the UG and PG levels. The Jharkhand Vidhi Mahavidyalaya Koderma courses include LLB, LLM, and BA LLB courses. 

The JVM Koderma admissions are done based on the merit of previous academics. Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognised board for BA LLB, whereas for LLB admissions, interested candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, and for LLM, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB/BL), Bachelor of General/Academic Laws (BA/BGL).
