Jiaganj Institute of Education and Training, Murshidabad, was established in the year 2009, and it's a co-educational teacher-education institute affiliated with Vill-Gulzarbagh, P.O. Jiaganj, Dist. Murshidabad, Affiliation from NCTE, New Delhi, to an affiliated college over an expanse of 1 acre. Total enrolment of students is 273 with a faculty strength of 20; hence, the student-teacher ratio is perfectly ideal for learning.

Infrastructure includes a well-stocked library of 5,446 volumes having a reading room facility that is capable of accommodating 90 students at a time. Separate hostels for boys and girls to board are available for those who need to. Merit has been taken as the basis of admission in Jiaganj Institute of Education and Training, considering the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance examinations. Furthermore, this institute follows the admission policies laid down by the state government and affiliated university. The candidates would be selected for the B.Ed. based on their performance in the qualifying examination or entrance examination, subject to any guideline issued by the state government and university. In the case of D.El.Ed. also, admission is given either on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination or through an entrance test conducted as per the policy of the concerned state government/UT administration.
