Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability came into existence in the year 2020 at Sonipat in the O. P. Jindal Global University campus. The nascent institution in Haryana, set apart to implement pressing environmental challenges through education and research in JSES. It offers three fulltime degree programs right from undergraduate to a doctoral study on the wide issues of environment and sustainable development. A committed learning atmosphere with eight faculty members is guaranteed at the institution. The location of the university is close to Jagdishpur Village, and its infrastructure is modern. 

There are a lot of facilities in JSES to make students stay comfortable. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, which can provide comfortable residential options according to international standards. The residential fee is INR 3,10,000 for both hostels. There will be a lot of athletic facilities along with qualified coaches to help the sports enthusiast. A fully equipped gym offers health consciousness. Moreover, a cafeteria with such a long and richly varied menu accommodates all types of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. A 3500 sq ft Health Centre of the college, there are separate wards, consultation rooms and a meditation area. The library has around 48,000 print volumes and various e-resources that aid in academic pursuits. There also exists an on-campus ATM for convenience, as well as guest rooms usable in the situation of visiting faculty or family members.

The institution currently has three full-time programs with options for pursuing: BA and BSc Environment and Sustainable Development (Hons) - four-year programs; PhD in Environment and Sustainability. Based on the rush with which applications for the same were received, one would safely assume that the admissions to the programs would be somewhat selective and the educational experience personalized.

Admission to JSES is a tough and closely monitored process. The admission to BA involves a multi-factor selection process comprising a personal statement, Supplementary Questions, Class X and XII marks, Faculty Interview, and JSAT/ SAT/ ACT scores. It is a three-round process so as to ensure fairness and equity in the evaluation for admission of applicants.
