Under the authority of different universities, Jiral College, Dhenkanal, is a general institution located in the state of Odisha. Admission Process Degree Wise
For BA Programs: A vast number of BA (Hons) are offered by Jiral College, such as Education, Sociology, Public Administration, Mathematics, Law, Library and Information Science, Hindi, Geography, Anthropology, Economics, Sanskrit, Political Science, Philosophy, Odia, History, and English. Admission to the programs depends on the results of the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent). Some combinations of subjects may be required to be considered in specialized cases for some honour courses.
For B.Sc Programs: B.Sc (Honours) is provided in many subjects, namely Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Physics, and Chemistry. The admission to any of these programs, however, generally requires a good science background at the 10+2 level. Merit may also be another criterion upon which selection is based on the marks obtained in affiliated subjects.
For B.Com Program: A candidate after having successfully completed his/her 10+2 education in Commerce or an equivalent subject shall be eligible for admission to the B. Com. program. Selection shall ordinarily be on the basis of a merit list drawn up on the basis of the qualifying examination.
Besides the honours courses, Jiral College also offers general B.A. and B.Sc. programs meant to study various subjects within the respective streams. Admission into these programs is also on merit, which consists of the overall performance of the candidate in the 10+2 examination.
