Under the authority of different universities, Jiral College, Dhenkanal, is a general institution located in the state of Odisha. Jiral College admission to the programmes depends on the results of the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent). Some combinations of subjects may be required to be considered in specialised cases for some honour courses.
B.Sc (Honours) is provided in many subjects, namely Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Physics, and Chemistry. The Jiral College admission to any of these programmes, however, generally requires a good science background at the 10+2 level. Merit may also be another criterion upon which selection is based on the marks obtained in affiliated subjects.
A candidate after having successfully completed his/her 10+2 education in Commerce or an equivalent subject shall be eligible for Jiral College admission to the B. Com. programme. Selection shall ordinarily be on the basis of a merit list drawn up on the basis of the qualifying examination.
