It is relatively younger Institute of pharmaceutical education and research which started in 2018 named JK Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and research Bilaspur. Established near Gatora Railway Station, Farhada, Bilaspur Chhattisgarh this is an affiliated college has emerged as dedicated institution in the field of pharmacy education. Serving at a campus of 2-acres, the institute has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), to abide by the standards of pharmaceutical education set at national level. JKIPER is currently home to 120 students, and it has 18 faculty members, this setting is suitable for students to receive personal attention and development. 

JK Institute of pharmaceutical education and research has put in place a number of amenities with an aim of improving educating experience among students. A well furnished library acts as a knowledge centre to cater to the information need of students and produce literature and research on pharmaceuticals. Labs available in the college are equally fashioned to suit the need of pharmacy college and as such,varying areas within the various fields of pharmaceutical sciences are simulated. For sports and academic shows, JKIPER provides an auditorium for seminars; conferences and cultural activities. On the campus there is also a cafeteria where the students can sit down and take a break between their classes. Taking care of people’s health is also well considered with facilities such as a health centre with a first aid service, while people can also exercise at a gym. There are provided opportunities for playing sports and team games for those students who wish to attend athletic activities. To meet the accommodation needs of visitors such as faculty and students’ family members, the institute avails guest rooms for use across the institute.

Currently, JKIPER offers 4 courses : The D.Pharma or the Diploma in Pharmacy is a two year diploma Pharmacy course, B.Pharma etc. These degree programme takes two years taking full time studies and has an approved capacity of 60 students each year. Its aimed at producing professional practitioners or specialisation in any of the sectors of the pharmaceutical industry or to peruse a high degree in the same line. Though the institute is still operating with this particular diploma programme, the relations with the regulatory bodies such as PCI, AICTE indicate that the institute is poised to expand its intake of other pharmaceutical courses in the near future. 

JKIPER has a simple admission process, especially because the college mainly focuses on the D. Pharma course offered by it. As for the definite dates of admission. The institute’s focus on the provision of the quality education in the sphere of pharmacy, modern facilities and approvals of the national regulatory bodies testify to the institute as a rather promising place for education for a student who wants to pursue pharmaceutical education. The institute is situated in Bilaspur town which is developing fast in the State of Chhattisgarh, thus giving the students the exposure to practical studying in a developing urban environment without hindering their education.
