JSS College of Nursing Mysore is the pioneer college in the field of nursing, started in 1997, and is a prestigious college of health care. Situated at the geographical centre of Mysore in the state of Karnataka, this affiliated college has been producing healthcare professionals for more than two decades. The college is affiliated with RGUHS. The Indian Nursing Council (INC) gives JSS College of Nursing the approval to provide a variety of programmes in architecture. The college occupies 7.11 acres of land, which we consider adequate to facilitate learning and population growth. This institute offers the best number of student enrolments, at 421, while having a sufficient number of teachers, which is 23 that guarantees an individual approach and high quality of education for the future nurses.

This college boasts of the facilities that are available in the college that shape the total learning of each learner. The core rotating clinical affiliate is the parent hospital, JSS Hospital, a 1500 bedded multi-speciality hospital with state-of-the-art facilities and departments. This association affords students such precious value as the practical experience in patients’ attendance. The college library contains sections of books, journals, and other resources, including 4173 books, 37 journals, and other digital forms. To enhance the living standards of its students, JSS College of Nursing provides separate hostels for Boys and Girls and B.Sc. Nursing students are required to reside in the hostel. The campus also holds well-equipped laboratories, sports facilities, an auditorium, a gym and a cafeteria. Thus, for enhancing the facility of transport, the college offers buses to the students for travelling from college to the hospital.

JSS College of Nursing has developed a clear list of nursing specialisations, enabling the learners to pursue the desired career path. The institute offers seven full-time programmes under two categories – Bachelors and Masters. The intakes of the programme are 100 for the B.Sc. Nursing and 50 for the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme. At the postgraduate level, the college offers the following specialisations in M.Sc Nursing Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing and Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing, each having a strength of 5-10.
