Kala Institute of Management Studies and Research, popularly known as KIMSR, was established in the year 2011. It is an affiliated college in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The institute imparts management education with an AICTE-approved compact campus of 1.35 acres. Currently, KIMSR has 74 students enroled and a faculty strength of 6. 

The institute has a fully fledged library as a knowledge hub with essential resources toward research and study. The IT infrastructure at Kala Institute of Management Studies and Research ensures that the students get exposure to the latest technology. This would also enhance the learning environment on campus. There are various laboratories that are well-equipped for practical training. The institute has sports facilities and a gym for physical well-being.

One of the core programmes at KIMSR, the Master of Management Studies is a two-year full-time program that provides preparation for the dynamic business world. With an approved intake of 60 seats, students are able to have focused learning.

The admission process of KIMSR is as per the directions issued by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. Prospective students have to appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by DTE. considering scores of national-level exams like CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, and ATMA.
