Kalpi Institute of Technology was established in the year 2008 at Ambala, Haryana. The institute is spread over 10 acres of land near Kalpi Air Force Station, Ambala. KIT is an affiliated college approved by AICTE and offers various engineering and management courses. It has a faculty strength of 68 members who provide quality education and guidance to the students. KIT is a co-educational institution that admits both boys and girls for pursuing their academic objectives in a very friendly and harmonious campus environment.

The institute is proud to offer the following facilities for the overall development of its students. It has separate hostels for boys and girls, well-furnished accommodation, and adequate security for outstation students. The library is well-stocked, providing an environment conducive to knowledge and research. KIT provides excellent sports facilities to the students, through which physical fitness and team spirit are inculcated. The institute has also been equipped with modern IT infrastructure that provides an up-to-date environment to the students through innovations taking place. Kalpi Institute of Technology runs a total of 8 courses in 4 degree programs, making this institute very rich in academic diversity. The prime focus of the institute is a full-time undergraduate course in engineering and postgraduate courses in management studies. The undergraduate programs in engineering disciplines that KIT offers are B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. It also offers a full-time MBA for those interested in management studies. The approved total intake for B.Tech programs differs for the different programs; it ranges from the highest capacity of 120 seats in Mechanical to other branches of engineering with an intake of 60 each. The MBA program also has 60 students.
