Kamla Nehru College, Korba Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library was established along with the establishment of the college in the year 1971. The library is located in the academic complex. It is built in an area of 239.85 sq. meters. The library is double storied having sufficient space to accommodate the large numbers of books. Being in the college campus, it is easily accessible for all the departments. The library is open for all the students and staff of the college from 8 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days of the week. It is closed on Sunday and all gazette holidays during the year. During summer vacations, the library remains open for the students of the college, but the transactions of the books is not permissible. During vacations, the regular students of the college can use the reading room. The central library has a collection of about 22107 books, which includes the books of all the faculties. The collection is housed subject-wise. For each academic subject, separate shelves have been kept. A goods number of books have been purchased to fulfill the needs of the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The departments, which have laboratories, are well furnished with adequate tools and equipment to meet the necessity of the student.

The basic aim of the Sports Department of Kamla Nehru College is to provide sports facilities to the students studying in the college as well as to those who are interested in sports activities. The department also aims at promoting the traditional games played in this region as well as introducing other national and international games. Within the college campus, the department has prepared Basket Ball ground, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, and Malkambh ground. The department has its own Table-Tennis table kept in the sports room for regular practice. For other sports, the sports department has membership with other sporting clubs like C.S.E.B, N.T.P.C. Nagar-Nigam Korba, and S.E.C.L. Every year during the prize distribution ceremony the outstanding performers in the field of sports are given prizes and incentives like Track- Suit, Wind -Cheater, Trophies, and Certificates. From time to time the department of sports arranges coaching campuses for various games to improve the sportive skills in students. It is noteworthy that the students have represented the state, national & all India level tournaments.
