Karim City College, Jamshedpur (KCC) is an oldest and renowned institute of education established in the year of 1961. It is affiliated college situated in Sakchi, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and has been in service for more than six decades. The college occupies an area of 6.96 acre and at present it has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). NCTE also recognizes KCC which makes it possible for quality education in its education training top up courses. The college enrols approximately 6,720 students in total and has 89 faculty members; it provides 51 courses under 15 degree programmes.

Karim City College wants to ensure that the most favourable environment for learning is provided to its students. The KCC library is a veritable store house of information, with a library which has a well-stocked collection of textbooks and other information carrying resources that are of tremendous use to the students and faculty of the institution. Karim City College provides its students numerous programmes and courses: undergraduate programmes, postgraduate programmes, vocational courses. The college offers 31 courses in arts, science, commerce, education and computer applications streams. The most sought after undergraduate programmes are BA, B. Sc, B. Com, BCA, and B. Ed Among the postgraduate programmes offered by the institution include MA, M. Com and M.Sc among other fields. It also has specialised vocational and advanced diploma courses in areas such Advertising, E-Commerce, Mass Communication, Information Technology among others, to prepare the learners to fit the job market.

Karim City College follows the eligibility criteria determined by the state government and affiliated university in terms of marks in qualifying examinations and or entrance test. For all its programmes such as B.ED and D.EL.ED, the college conducts admission in conformity with the requirements of the relevant professional bodies. The college also provides various scholarships for needy and qualified students to enable them meet their fees. In the 2023 academic year, 1,391 undergraduate and 56 postgraduate students were reimbursed showing the friendly college which strives to enhance access to education.

Karim City College is proud of its multi ethnic students. According to the latest statistics the college is attended by 4,179 students, of which 3,524 of them are undergraduate and 655 of them are postgraduate. Overall preference by gender presents 65% male students in undergraduate while 35% female students and a reverse of this in postgraduate with 57% female students in courses. The college has a strong regional focus with over 98 percent of the students attending college from within the state. Due to its prolonged establishment combined with reference of different faculties and its main concern of the quality education, Karim City College remains an important part of Jamshedpur by holding the fate of thousands of students each year.
