KGI School of Education in Patna is a co-educational institution offering teacher education programs. The two main programs offered at KGI School of Education are the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), each spanning a period of two years. Admission at the College of Education at KGI School is purely merit-based admission.

The D. El. Ed. intake is equally 100 approved seats. The entrance process corresponds to that of the B. Ed. program, in that it adheres to merit-based admission. Candidates are assessed according to the merits of their academic performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. The admission is also subject to directions from the state government or UT administration.
