KMCT College of Teacher Education for Women was established in 2005 and is progressing quickly in the city of Kozhikode, Kerala. This college for boys and girls, which is under the Calicut University, aims at producing qualified educators in the future. Spread across a 3-acre campus, the college offers two specialised courses in education: Bachelor's in Education Programme (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El. Ed). KMCT College of Teacher Education is affiliated with the University of Calicut, Malappuram. The KMCT College of Teacher Education for Women has developed a variety of facilities that are intended to complement the learning of the students. The library is one of the significant components of academic resources; It contains 5500 books, 6 encyclopedias, and 5 different periodicals to help in various kinds of education. For practical training, the institution severalalf specialised laboratories: computer lab, Psychological lab, Natural Science Lab, Physical Science Lab, Language Lab, Technological Lab and Social Science Lab. These facilities are essential for Practice Teachers as students receive the true practical experience of their future profession. This college also encompasses an auditorium for all corporate occasions and seminars, enhancing the professionalism of a knowledge-sharing institution. There are sports facilities and a cafeteria as an essential part of a student’s daily life on the campus. 

KMCT College of Teacher Education offers two full-time courses: a two-year B. An Ed course with intakes of 100 students and a year's Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course with 50 students. These programmes are intended to provide what students need to become effective teachers in classrooms. 

The entrance test into KMCT College of Teacher Education requires the candidate to have scores in the qualifying examination and/ or the entrance examination to qualify for admission.
