Lajpat Rai Law College at Sambalpur was set up in 1965 and is one of the most reputed law colleges for the state of Odisha in India. This affiliated college which is recognised by Bar Council of India (BCI) provides various programmes in law for the lawyers of the future. The college is compact with a campus area of 5 acres; the college has maximum intention capacity of 216 and faculty strength of 3 only. Like any institute that accepts both male and female students, it provides equal opportunities that enable the students from all genders to learn. Through the four degrees the college offers, the establishment covers and offers various legal specialisations.

For the 5-year integrated BBA LLB (Hons) course the following test are conducted as part of the selection: Written entrance test: 70 and career marking: 30 The merit list will be prepared out of 100.
