Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Degree College, Halduchaur, established in 2002 as a technical institute, was transitioned to the Government of Uttarakhand in 2015 and began functioning under the leadership of Dr. R. C. Purohit as its first government-appointed principal in 2016. Located around 15 km from Haldwani in the Nainital district, the college is affiliated with Kumaun University, Nainital, and offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple disciplines.
