LCIT Department of Legal Studies is a comparatively new organisation that offers legal education and was founded in Bilaspur in 2018. This affiliated college is based in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarer on Raipur Road and it is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The institute occupies a large 20 acre area which includes ample space for all academic as well as co-curricular facilities. The department has a faculty of 6 members to support a faculty strength of approximately 300 students The department aims to provide three law programmes to students who wish to build a carrier in the field of law.
LCIT Department of Legal Studies’s close proximity to the High Court offer students practical leaning on the real body of law. This closeness can be especially helpful since the students can gain privileges of the court visits and meeting other lawyers. LCIT Department of Legal Studies, an affiliated College of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, provides three extensive law programmes, and all the programmes are day courses. These are a 3 year LLB programme and two five year integrated programmes, the BA LLB and B.Com LLB programmes. All these courses have an approved capacity of 60 students and this makes the overall capacity of all programmes to be 180. A broad spectrum of these courses enable the students to select a course that suits their career goals whether their goal is a pure law practice or a course that merges law with arts or commerce.
