Liberal college Imphal, the college Which was Established in 1979 is one of the popular Educational institution situated at Luvwangshanbam Imphal Manipur. This affiliated college is NAAC accredited that provides a wide spectrum of undergraduate program in numerous streams. Liberal College occupies a large area of about fifteen acres in size and has a large student population of nearly three thousand students out of which 64% are male students (1,641) and female students (1,486). 

The facilities of the college consist of a qualified faculty member totaling to one hundred and twenty-five members, thus favorable student-teacher ratio. In fact, Liberal College, located in Imphal, offers six courses and four degree programs, majoring in Sociology, Political Science, Manipuri, along with the conventional BA, B.Sc, B.Com. There are in all six full–time under graduate courses offered in Liberal College Imphal. These are complex Bachelor of Arts (BA) with honors specializations in Manipuri, Sociology and Political Science, general BA, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programs. All these courses take three years to complete. 

The college admitted students from different background; the college increased its reputation beyond Manipur by admitting more 1% of students outside the state. Liberal College also follows the same principle of financial diversity and according to the records of year 2021, out of the total enrolled 3127 undergraduate students, 1324 were benefitted by scholarship or fee concession.
