36 MonthsGeneral Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year full-time diploma program offered by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council, Thiruvananthapuram, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates for admission to GNM should have passed the 10+2/equivalent examination with English as one subject, a minimum of 40 % marks from any recognized board. Candidates with pass marks in the SC/ST 2 category are eligible for application. A Science group with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is preferable. In the absence of candidates from science groups, candidates from other groups will also be considered.
- Candidates from State Open Schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible for admission
- Registered ANM can also apply.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 Health Care Science – Vocational stream from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre are also eligible for application.
- The minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as of 31st December 2020). The upper age limit is 35 years. For ANM/ LHV, there is no age bar.
