Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D. program in Education shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, offered by Sikkim University, Gangtok.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have done a post-graduation degree or M.Phil in the relevant discipline for reserved category students) in aggregate from any recognized 55% marks (50% university or institute. Merit list is prepared considering performance in written test and needed in the written test to qualify and be considered for interview (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD). interview.
The test will be 70 marks and the interview of 30 marks.
50% marks are needed in the Weiter test to qualify and be considered for an interview (45%Fro CS/ST/OBC/PWD).
10% weightage of the test will be given to the candidates with NET/JRF/ SLET/ Teacher Fellowship/M.Phil degree.
