Hey,

Different states has its own bond policy. As far as your question is concerned, Students taking admission in Madras Medical College has to sign a bond with loan amount of 40 lakhs under which they have to serve the state for atleast 5 years. If failed to do so they are required to pay the bond amount to the government.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hi

In neet 2019, 618 marks was the lowest marks that was required for general category for getting a government quota seat in Madras Medical College, Chennai under Tamil Nadu State quota

You can check the same at :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-tamil-nadu/amp

But cut off marks keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

So , you should target at least 650 marks to be on the safer side in your neet examination to get into Madras Medical College, Chennai

Thankyou

Hello Aspirant,

Seat allotment of medical colleges is based on NEET Scores which are reflected as Ranks.  But for your query I will explain that the seat are reserved for SC category. The overall seat for Stanley Medical College, Chennai MBBS  was 250 seats in which for SC student got 18% .

The 69 reserved seats are filled up using the 69% reservation formula (30 seats obc, 20 seats mbc, 18 seats sc and 1 seat st). The effective reservation percentage depends on how many General category students are ranked between 32 and 50.

Hope I solve your query.

All the best!!!!!

Hi..

Aspirant . Madras Medical College which is popularly known as MMS college is in chennai. The courses offered here are MBBS MD, MS , DM , M.ch , Diploma.

As I can see you have asked for marks that are needed to enter Madras Medical College in NEET exam but you didnot mention to which category you belong to , because the cut off totally depends on category of candidate . Here I have provided you the cut off for all the categories so you can check accordingly-

1) Unreserved (UR) candidates              : 700 -134 is the cut off marks.

2) Unreserved PH (UR-PH) candidates : 133 - 120 is the cut off marks.

3) OBC , SC , ST candidates                   :  133-107 is the cut off marks.

4) OBC , SC , ST (PH Candidates)          : 119 -107 is the cut off marks.

hope this helps.

ALL THE BEST.

Yamuna, Madras Medical College is the oldest Medical College when compared to Stanley Medical College. It is the apex referral centre in South India. Which means any untreated or unresolved medical cases are usualy routed to Madras Medical College, In that way, you get clinical exposure and subject knowledge that you might need for your practical exposure. The Staff are interexchanged between Madras Medical College and Stanley Medical College which means the Faculty is almost the same. Both the colleges run 24/7 services across all Departments in their hospitals. But just for the clinical exposure, you can opt for Madras Medical College.

Yamuna, Tamilnadu allots 1% reservation to Wards of Ex-servicemen. In 2018 under State Quota, 380 marks secured a seat under SC Category in Madras Medical College. That has been the cut off. Now this is 2018 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For a seat in this College with both reservations, you will need atleast 450-475.

Hi

No , you cannot appear for neet examination with just qualification of class 10th as to be eligible for neet examination one must pass class 12th board examination .

With only 10th qualification you fail to fulfil the neet eligibility criteria provided below :-

Neet eligibility criteria says that to be eligible , in your 12th exam you must have passed individually in
  • Physics,
  • Chemistry,
  • Biology/Biotechnology ,
  • English

And you must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB in your class 12th board examination if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories .

Thus , if you want to appear in neet examination you need to first do your 10 +2 in order to fulfil the above criteria to be eligible for NEET.

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

Thankyou

In 2018, under State Quota, 500 marks secured a seat in Madras Medical College under SC Category. That was 2018 cut off and we do not have 2019 data yet, But in Tamilnadu, the individual cut offs increased by 60-75 marks on an average. That makes the cut off for Madras Medical College for SC Category around 575- 580. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For a seat in this college for 2020, you will have to aim atleast 575-600. My college has given me good clinical exposure

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is not upto the mark and it doesn’t have proper campus. The college in general is clean and have decent hygienic conditions. The classrooms are very congested for a strength of 250 students.
