Hi harish!! Hope you are doing well!! It's good that you are trying to get in MMC chennai. It's a great College. To take admission in this college, you need to score atleast 50th percentile marks.. your NEET score needs to be around 400-700 then you will have a strong chance to get a seat in this college.

Hello Aspirant,

There are many private and government colleges in India that offer MS course.
The fees for a Master of Surgery (M.S) course differs from college to college like you will do it in a government college like AIIMS then you will have to pay just 10,000 for this course. But if you will go for any private college then you will have to pay 10-60 lakhs.
During the course you can get a stipend of Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000 starting from first year with a increment to of 5k every year.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

The last year closing ranks for MS gen surgery were as -

KEM Mumbai- 832 ( year 2019)

Madras medical college Chennai - 1258 ( year 2018),

Maulana Azad medical college,Delhi -192

These are the previous years closing ranks for round 2 general category. So if we look at this trend it seems difficult for you to get MS Gen surgery seats in these college.

However you have secured good rank so you can check which colleges you can expect with this rank through the neet pg college pridicator - https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-pg-college-predictor

Hope you find this helpful. All the best.

Aditya, PWD is not a vertical reservation. It is a horizontal reservation within your Category. For example, if you belong to General Category and you have PWD quota, you are eligible for UR-PWD. Considering this, in 2018, under State Quota, the cut offs for MMC under various Categories have been as follows:

General Category: 205

OBC: 116

SC: 124

Now these are 2018 cut offs and cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So you should target for atleast 60-75 marks more than mentioned here.

We do not have 2019 data yet and NEET 2020 is yet to be conducted. In 2018, under State Quota, a score of 455 secured a seat in Madras Medical College under MBC Category. This was the cut off. Now cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. We cannot analyse 2021's prospects atleast until NEET 2020 has been conducted. But atleast 500-525 is an ideal score.

Hello ravi kumar,

The cut-off marks will be changed for every year based on the number of students attended for the exam and also difficult level of the papers. The previous cut-off marks for the sc category much score more than 550 to get seat in the particular college .For more details once visit the below link.,

Hope this helps you...

The NEET Cutoff changes every year, as it depends on various factors. But considering previous year cutoff, the cutoff marks for unreserved category lies around 600 for MBBS. As you belong to mbc category, you need to score at least 490+ marks in order to secure a seat in MMC.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is not upto the mark and it doesn’t have proper campus. The college in general is clean and have decent hygienic conditions. The classrooms are very congested for a strength of 250 students.
