Mahatma Gandhi Mission's Institute of Biosciences and Technology, established in 2001 at Aurangabad, Maharashtra, is one of the most prominent institutions in the region. It is a constituent college of MGM University that has gone great guns in terms of propagating knowledge about biosciences and technology. Spread over 70 acres, MGMIBT is one of the pioneers that offer 19 courses through 4 degree programmes to 351 students. Institute caters for courses which almost cover the entire range of offerings in the area of biosciences and technology. MGMIBT offers 15 undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes. The undergraduate programmes that MGMIBT caters to are B.Sc.

The courses offered by MGMIBT include Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, and Food Technology and Processing. At the undergraduate level, MGMIBT also runs specific B.Tech courses in Biotechnology, Food Processing Technology, and Biomedical Engineering in its course offerings. The institute offers M.Sc. courses with different specialisations, like Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Plant Biotechnology, and Industrial Microbiology. Courses are full-time, therefore offering complete knowledge with practical exposure, thereby ensuring a total approved intake across all courses of 470 students.
