    The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) is a two-year full-time academic programme offered by Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. Course is structured to train students for professional practice in hospitals, community pharmacies, dispensaries, and various pharmaceutical settings under the guidance of a registered pharmacist.

    The programme consists of two academic years, each with a minimum of 180 instructional days, followed by a mandatory practical training of at least 500 hours. This hands-on training is completed over a period of approximately three months in a PCI-approved Government Hospital, Dispensary, or Pharmacy.


    Eligibility Criteria

    Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics from a recognized board.

    Any equivalent qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India is also acceptable.

    Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the admission year.
