Majuli College, Jorhat, Majuli is one of the oldest institutions of education located in Majuli, Assam. This affiliated co-educational college has NAAC accreditation. Quality-oriented education has been its goal ever since it was established in 1962. The campus covers 4 acres of land with a total of 970 students with the right sex ratio of 55% males and 45% females. There are 47 dedicated faculty members in the institution offering two undergraduate degree programmes.
Majuli College caters mostly to the students of local; almost 100 percent students are of Assam state. The college offers a lot of facilities for developing the life of students. A two-storied Girls' Hostel accommodates 65 female students. Hence, this enables them to study in a secure and sound atmosphere. The library, with the facility of Book Bank, started its activities since 2012 in order to extend support to the meritorious students as well as those who are financially weak. A large, three-acre ground is also available to conduct outdoor games during Annual College Sports Week. There are also facilities for several indoor games like table tennis, badminton, and chess. This institution also features a Keshabram Borah Auditorium that can seat 700 people for holding cultural functions, seminars, and workshops.
For science and arts subjects, there are six well-equipped laboratories maintained by the college so that the students may have practical learning in the said fields. Majuli College is currently conducting two full-time three-year undergraduate programs, namely Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science.
