Established in the year 1984, Manabendra Sarma Girls' College, Rangia, is an affiliated college of Kamrup, Assam, with an aim to provide education for women. The cramped land of 1.97 acres in the college offers 14 courses across 2 degrees, of which maximum entrance levels go into the setting of the matrix of different specialisations in the Bachelor of Arts degree. With a high rate of intake of students in education, which currently stands at 1,135, and a faculty of 24 staff, the college retains a very good student-teacher ratio. The different BA units, ranging from Economics, Education, Arabic, Assamese to Political Science, among others, are a demonstration of the institution's value for excellence in education. 

 Manabendra Sarma Girls' College contains quite a number of facilities that are geared toward the enhancement of the learning process and the general development of learners themselves.
