About SCLC Pune
Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Shankarrao Chavan Law College, one of the most renowned Law institutions in Maharashtra, was established in the year 2003 and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), SCLC Pune has also been accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. The college is governed by the Marathwada Mitra Mandal trust, founded in 1967 under the guidance of former Chief Minister Shri Shankarraoji Chavan.
SCLC Pune offers full-time legal education at the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Courses include the 3-year LLB, 5-year integrated BA LLB and BBA LLB, LLM, PhD., and several 1-year diploma programmes in specialised legal fields. Since the college is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, the college’s admissions are based on qualification in the MH CET Law exam conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra at the UG and level remaining admissions at different levels are based on the merit.
The college also has a dedicated placement cell that looks after the placement activities, from provision of internship opportunities, to getting them hired at top most institutions, the placement team does it all. As per the NIRF 2025 results, a total of 11 students got placed at a median salary package of Rs 50,000 in the year 2023-2024, across UG and PG levels. Apart from this in the previous year 108 students were placed at a median salary package of Rs 4,60,000 which shows the efforts of the placement cell.
